Parenteral nutrition is an area of expertise that most doctors are rarely confronted with and have to rely on the advice of pharmacies, home care companies or manufacturers, as in practice there is usually a lack of tools for objective calculation and assessment. The CareSolution® service therefore includes not only the calculation and comparison options via the online portal, but also personal and experienced manufacturer-neutral advice and the answering of all technical questions on parenteral nutrition therapies.

Carenoble has its own specialist department with qualified, experienced scientific staff under pharmacological management who constantly monitor, combine and integrate scientific findings in the field of nutritional medicine and parenteral nutrition drugs into the IT structures. In particular, our work focuses on the following areas:
- Constant examination for updating of the guidelines and elaboration of the recommendations relevant for CareSolution®.
- Determination of the algorithm on the basis of the lower and upper limit values of the nutrient quantities for the determination of requirement proposals on the basis of the indication-specific recommendations of the guidelines.
- Regular review of the pharmacovigilance data of the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) for relevant reports.
- Adverse drug reactions (ADR)
- Red Hand Letters
- Participation in symposia / congresses
- Constant monitoring of the approval status (new approval, modification of approval) of parenteral nutrition medicinal products and review of technical information (SPCs)
- Review of German and English specialist media on parenteral nutrition
- Cooperation and exchange of information with selected, GMP-certified, particularly experienced manufacturing pharmacy companies on pharmaceutical issues.

Management
Together with Nicole Meier, the marketing expert and concept developer is the creator and founder of CARENOBLE as a private institute for health economics. He has already been committed to the health sector for decades with his community service in nursing. This was followed by studies in economics, several years as a partner in a management consultancy for medical professionals with the development of IT consulting tools and another 15 years in a leading pharmaceutical wholesaler in senior management. This has provided him with fundamental knowledge of the pharmaceutical market and international pharmaceutical distribution. Therefor he knows exactly the tension between the economic requirements of the service providers and the economic constraints, so that health services can be financed. Since 2005, he has been CEO of the CARENOBLE Gesellschaft für Gesundheitsökonomie (Company of Health Economics) in the area of strategy, innovation and development, alongside Nicole Meier.
After many years of professional experience in the trade and distribution of pharmaceuticals, the business economist has a profound understanding of the pharmaceutical market. As an IT and health expert, product transparency for medical prescriptions is for her the general key to economic pharmaceutical supply. That is why CareSolution® finds the best and cheapest nutrient solutions at the push of a button. Always manufacturer-neutral and patient-specific. This creates effective competition in the regulated healthcare market.
Expert council
Peter Hajek provides deep knowledge in drug information systems and pharmacology. For almost 20 years he was responsible for implementing various drug information systems. Previously he played a key role in creating the national vetidata information platform for the University of Leipzig on questions relating to drug use, toxicology and drug law in veterinary medicine.
His knowledge about web-based database systems and drug therapies supports further developments of CareSolution®. The leading architect of the prescription service CareSolution® represents a competent contact person for all pharmacotherapeutic questions.
The graduate trophologist significantly supports the further development of CareSolution®. Thanks to her scientific expertise, the portal always provides the latest specialist knowledge. Thus she not only ensures that the latest evident findings and guidelines are displayed in CareSolution®, but also makes the portal practical. Because parenteral nutrition therapies often involve many uncertainties, the questions and suggestions of the users are very important to her. In this way we can provide well-founded answers and find practicable solutions for implementation in CareSolution®.
As a research assistant (PhD student) at the Center for Pediatric Research Leipzig (University of Leipzig) she gained the necessary expertise to support the CareSolution® team with further know-how after her studies of nutrition science at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. As a contact person for regime requirements, she not only provides advice and support to doctors and specialist circles, but also to trusted partners and health insurance companies.
